Joyland - David Nathan, Stephen King

Not a "typical" King novel, as it has no horror aspects, but creepiness rears its head when you meet the girl that was murdered in the Horror House of Joyland and her murderer. The story is atmospheric and has this intriguing "amusement park in a dying away ocean resort" feeling which reminded me a lot of the beginning of "The Talisman", the Alhambra.

A nice read, entertaining, with likeable characters, but only mediocre in comparison to King's other novels.
